Abstract sculpture 9/14/13

Abstract sketch and sculpture 9/14/13

An abstract sculpture is an existing thought or idea that does not have a physical or concrete existence. My sculpture represents New York City at dusk. This was the first time I’ve created an abstract sculpture and I found it difficult putting shapes together to represent a specific idea. However, I am proud with what I came up with. The abstract sketch of the sculpture was a lot more difficult because a bunch of straight lines were suppose to represent my sculpture. As a result, the sketch reminded me of a 1920’s sketch of an abstract sculpture. It was a great experience creating this project and I’ve enjoyed every second. I can’t wait to make a similar project to it.
